About Our Guide Service

Our trips are a great experience for anglers of all levels. Just as the Missouri River has something to offer every angler from beginner to expert, so does our guide service. Beginners will enjoy learning from teachers who are patient and genuinely enjoy sharing the sport they have come to love with others. Experts will appreciate hardworking, highly adaptable guides who know the river and its fish like old friends. No matter what your level, every trip is catered to fit your needs and desires. Want to hit the early morning trico action, to fish the evening caddis, to try something different like carp? Whatever your request, it is our mission to help you achieve your fly fishing goals and have a great time.

What’s Included in a Guide Trip?

Unlike many other rivers, the longstanding tradition on the Missouri is that all terminal tackle is provided by your guide. This means he’ll have leaders, tippet, flies, etc. for you to use. If you have favorite flies of your own you are certainly welcome and encouraged to bring them. If you have your own equipment, you should bring it, since that’s what you’ll be most comfortable with. If you don’t have your own, or don’t want to travel with gear, your guide will have rods you may use. Guides will provide lunches and non alcoholic beverages (BYOB ok). Please give a heads up in advance so we can cater to any food allergies or special dietary needs.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy

A deposit of 50% is required to reserve dates for all trips. This deposit is fully refundable if a cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled date of the trip. If a trip is cancelled by the guide or a joint client/ guide decision, the deposit will be fully refunded. Cancellations made with less than 30 days until the scheduled date of the trip will result in forfeiture of the deposit. Cancelled dates are difficult for guides to rebook at the last minute and often represent an irretrievable loss of income which the deposit will be used to help offset. We understand that unforeseen happenings can result in cancellation and therefore reserve the right to make refunds on an individual basis.
